The city of SASKATOON is located in the wide open plains of central Saskatchewan,Canada,on the South Saskatchewan River. It is known as the "Hub City" or "City of Bridges" for its seven river crossings as well as the commercial and educational centre in the Province of Saskatchewan. The city's name originates for the Cree word "misaskwotomin"referring to the Saskatoon berry growing wild along the river bank.
